• How do I get my own website address (domain name)?
Website addresses are of the form:
http://www.yoursite.com
or
http://www.yoursite.co.uk
The "yoursite.com" or "yoursite.co.uk" part in these examples is called the 'domain name'.
The ".com" and ".co.uk" parts are the 'domain extensions'. There are many domain extensions. You'll probably recognise the common ones like .co.uk, .com or .org.

• Can I sell my products/services online?
Yes! We are able to build an e-commerce website for you, so that your visitors will be able to buy your products or services online from your website. See the E-Commerce section for more details.
• What about my website's design?
Our websites are tailor-made for you - we don't use templates. You may already have an idea of the sort of design you'd like. Alternatively, we can sketch possible designs for you to choose from. It may be handy for you to look around the web and take a look at the various sorts of website design out there. Remember however that the way your site functions will be important too.
• Will my website be found on Google and the other search engines?
We'll do our level best to make sure that search engines like Google will find your website and rank it highly according to the particular key-phrases that are appropriate to your website's subject-matter, theme, products or services. We do this by inserting these key-phrases in the right places, and generally making your website "search-engine friendly". We've had some notable successes with this process (often called "Search Engine Optimization", or "SEO" for short).
• Can people contact me through my website?
Yes! We include a web contact form as standard. Messages sent via your web contact form are forwarded directly to your email address. We also take steps to ensure that your contact form is immune to web spam programs.
Your website will include your own choice of email addresses which use your website domain name. If your website's address was www.example.com, you could have any username suffixed by that domain, for example, jack@example.com, jill@example.com, sales@example.com, or any username you like. You can configure your favourite email program to retrieve email directly, or, if you prefer, it can be forwarded to an existing working email address.
• What happens if I want to change parts of my website?
If you require it, we are able to code a custom-made "Content Management System" (or "CMS") which will enable you to change significant parts of your website yourself, such as text and images. This is obviously important for e-commerce sites, where you need to change product prices, stock availability, etc.
• Where can I host my website?
"Hosting" refers to the disk space on a server computer where your website will physically reside. We host your website on fast, reliable servers.
Our new pricing structure involves a low one-time build fee, and affordable hosting charges, which can be paid either monthly or annually. The only other recurring cost to you is renewal of your website domain name (usually every two years). You can view our latest price sheet here.
