Website addresses are of the form:
"http://www.yoursite.com", or "http://www.yoursite.co.uk".
The "yoursite.com" and "yoursite.co.uk" parts in these examples are called the 'domain name'.
The ".com" and ".co.uk" parts are the 'domain extensions'. There are many domain extensions. You'll probably recognise the common ones like .co.uk, .com or .org.

Once you have decided on the domain name for your website, we can secure it for you in your name.
• Can I sell my products/services online?
Yes! We are able to build an e-commerce website for you, so that your visitors will be able to buy your products or services online from your website. See the E-Commerce section for more details.
• What about my website's design?
You may already have an idea of the sort of design you require. Alternatively, we can sketch possible designs for you to choose from. It may be handy for you to 'surf' the web and take a look at the various sorts of design out there. Remember however that the way your site functions will be important too.
• Will my website be found on Google and the other search engines?
We'll do our best to make sure that search engines like Google will find your website and rank it highly according to the particular key-phrases that are appropriate to your website's subject-matter, theme, products or services. We do this by inserting these key-phrases in the right places, and generally making your website "search-engine friendly". We've had some notable successes with this process (often called "Search Engine Optimization", or "SEO" for short).
• Will I be able to see who visits my website?
Yes. You will be able to view detailed statistical information about visitors to your website - their details, how they find your site, the search terms they use to find your site, and more.
• Can people contact me through my website?
Yes! We include a web contact form as standard. Messages sent via your web contact form are forwarded directly to your email address. We also take steps to ensure that your contact form is immune to web spam programs.
• What happens if I want to change parts of my website?
If you require it, we are able to code a custom-made "Content Management System" which will enable you to change significant parts of your website yourself, such as text and images. This is obviously important for e-commerce sites, where you need to change product prices, stock availability, etc.
• What about email?
Your website will include your own choice of email addresses which use your website domain name. If your website's address was, for instance, www.mysite.com, you could have any username suffixed by that domain, for example, jack@mysite.com, jill@mysite.com, sales@mysite.com, or any username you like. You can configure your favourite email program to retrieve email directly, or, if you prefer, it can be forwarded to an existing working email address.
• Can you make custom downloadable brochures or newsletters for me?
Yes. If you have important textual and/or graphic information that you would like your visitors to be able to download, or perhaps a newsletter, we can design and create custom PDF downloadable documents for you.
• Where can I host my website?
"Hosting" refers to the disk space on a server computer where your website will physically reside. We can host your website for you on fast, reliable servers. Every website comes with one year's free hosting.
• Are there any hidden or recurring costs involved?
There are no hidden costs, and no set-up fees. The only recurring costs to you are the renewal of your website domain name, and the yearly hosting charge after the first free year.
